Historical information In Avoscan, the southern village in this county, up until few years ago, there were the remains of the Avoscano castle. They were one of the most powerful families in the medieval Agordo history, that under the dominion of the Scaligeri from Verona (1322/1337) conquered a lot of land, thus pushing its borders beyond the Belluno area.
