Historical information This town has ancient origins. The Gaelic helmet found in Vallesella and some Celtic tombs discovered in the center of this town proves these origins. In 1771 behind the tabernacle of the old parish a Latin inscription was discovered which said that the alter was built in 809 under the reign of Pope Leone III and the emperor Carlo Magno. In 1208 the parish was declared free from the subordination from the parish of Pieve and in 1394 their statutes were written.
