Historical information The first mention is by Buchenstein Livinallongo and can be found in medieval documents dated 1027. The emperor Corrado II, called il Saltico, donated to the bishop of Bressanone the county of the Livinallongo valley, and at the same time it is when the castle of Andraz was started. After many successions, the valley of Livinallongo was annexed within Tirolo up until 1810, when it was then united to the department of Pieve by the Napoleon kingdom of Italy. In 1813, it was returned to Tirolo but after WW I the Tirolo and all areas south of Brennero were annexed to Italy. The citizens that didn't want to subordinate to the Italian government were sent away.
