Historical information
Before the flood of 1966, Gosaldo was one of the largest towns in Agordino with about 3000 inhabitants. The economy of this town was based on the mercury mining in Vallalta, and in the production of wicker chairs which was passed down from father to son. This type of work allowed many of the town people to move across the boarder. This was an additional cause of the town's decrease in population. The beautiful and ancient church of Tiser (XIV century) should be visited dedicated to Saint Bartolomeo Apostolo whose alter is embellished by two sculptures by St. Peter and St. Paul made by Valentino Panciera Besarel.

Useful information
Housing: a two-star hotel and many apartments with a total of 450 beds. There is also a "agriturismo" in Tiser with only the possibility to dine. Sporting areas including: football fields, tennis courts, bowling greens, and ski lifts.
