It is a deep gorge made by the encounter of the Piave river and the Acquatona stream. The Piave jumps amongst the rocks creating suggestive waterfalls with a 50 meter jump.

The course of the stream called Rio Fanes is spectacular for the amount of water in it, and for the many jumps and ramps. The most impressive waterfalls are the inferior Fanes waterfalls at the point in which the river falls into the gorge of Rio Travenanzes.

It is about a 30 minute walk which follows the fairly easy paths of the Rio dei Mulini stream. After passing two little wooden bridges, you'll arrive just in front of the waterfalls.

After the confluence with the Ansiei stream, which runs in the homonymous valley; the river Piave, which sprouts at the Peralba in Comelico, merges in the Centro Cadore valley and it creates the lake.

The Cordevole stream, which rises from the Pordoi pass, coasts all the eastern part of the Rocca Pietore county, from the village of Digonera to the village of Masarè di Rocca Pietore, for a total length of 10 km.

The river Biois originates in the valleys over the town of Falcade, thanks to the confluence of the Rio Valfreda, Rio Valles and Torrente Focobon streams.

The river runs throughout the valley from Cortina to the Cadore for a total of 42 km to the confluence with the Piave in Perarolo.

It is filled with the Oten stream's water and flows into the Lake of Centro Cadore.
