Si incontrano pendii in parte coperti da baranci, e da questi, oltre il rifugio Venezia, si raggiunge facilmente la vetta del monte. E' uno spettacolare belvedere sul Pelmo e sulle Dolomiti della val di Zoldo, della Valboite e del centro Cadore.

Una passeggiata molto bella, fino alle pendici del Pelmo, in aperti e solatii pascoli da cui si ammira un ampio panorama sui monti di Zoldo.

Dalla cima del monte Rite il panorama è grandioso, spazia sui monti che circondano la val di Zoldo, con il Pelmo di fronte isolato, e sui monti del Cadore, fin oltre Cortina. Sulla cima ci sono gli imponenti resti del fortino costruito durante la guerra del 15-18, con le postazioni dei cannoni, le caserme e i camminamenti.
