A nice excursion in the Gares valley that will allow you to see along the old road many beautiful and characteristic views. It is almost mandatory to stop at the Parish of Canale d'Agordo and at Pope Luciani's birth house. Also, in addition to the singular village of Gares, take a look at the wonderful Comelle waterfall that you'll find just at the end of the valley.

A trip around Mount Celentone in a tranquil and not too crowded area, where you'll be able to admire the oldest religious building in the Biois valley: the Church of S.Simon , dated back to the XII century.

This is a very important historical area in which the Piave river runs and has its water springs. Near the water spring there is an inscription to remember the great episodes which happened here during the First World War, of which this river is a historical symbol. This area is also panoramically and naturally very beautiful.

The few words written on the sign at the beginning of the road that goes up to the Val Visdende are enough to describe the beauty of this place in which develops our trail: "God's Temple, a hymn to the Creator"....

It is an excursion along the connecting road between Falcade and Canale d'Agordo. Falcade has always been the religious center of this valley. It is also famous for having given birth to Pope Luciani. Also here the first social milk factory was born. We suggest to take a look around the town to admire the beautiful historical buildings.
