Historical information There is modest archeological documentation which seems to prove Roman origins of the villages that lie in the Boite valley. This place was chosen for its commercial and defensive reasons. Borca's history is the same as that of San Vito up until the last century. In 1822 these two towns obtained the administrative divisions. The main church of Borca, is dedicated to Saint Simone, it has many artistic treasures such as the statute of the Black Madonna and the wonderful Callido organ. One should also visit the Natural history museum "Olimpia Perini".
