Accessibility By road this area can be reached by three different directions. From the North : from Cortina SS51 Alemagna; From the south : From Venice highway A27, exit Pian di Vedoia; From the East: From Centro Cadore SS 51 bis Alemagna. By train: The closest train station is in Calalzo about 3 km away, and then there are many connections by bus. By plane: The closest airport is the international airport of Venice-Tessera (130 km); or the airport in Treviso (100 km).

Historical information The town of Pieve di Cadore gave birth to Tiziano Vecellio and to all his family of painters. In the center of the town, there is Tiziano square, with a bronze statue of the artist, made by Antonio Dal Zotto (1880). There is also the Building of the Magnificent Community of Cadore (Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità di Cadore), rebuilt in 1525 to replace the old building dated 1447. In Pieve di Cadore there are three museums: The Tiziano home Museum, The Archeological Museum of the Magnificent Community of Cadore, which it contains the finds of Calalzo, Pieve and Valle; and the Glass Museum, which displays beautiful glasses from all the different eras. In Pieve di Cadore there is also Santa Claus house, in Roccolo city park, the favorite destination of all the Italian children who send here their letters at Christmas time.

Useful information Here there is also the arriving point of the high road 4 and 5. It is one of the most loved places by excursionists during the summer season because there are so many different varieties of routes to take. In the winter season, this place is a good connecting point among all the Dolomite skiing areas. There are plenty of hotels, bed and breakfast locations, private apartments or refuges to stay in. There are also plenty of sport activities to do with a covered swimming-pool, sauna and solarium. There are tennis courts and a cinema, that will allow you to spend fun and relaxing days. For art lovers, there are beautiful museums, exhibits and musical entertainment. Finally there are also many restaurants to taste the wonderful dishes of this area.
